About the event
Sonya Renee Taylor said, “we should recognize that most of the (negative) feelings we have about our bodies is not an original thought.” It wasn’t our first idea of ourselves. We were born with a radical sense of love, an unconditional love for ourselves. So what sort of messages have we received throughout our lives that made us turn away from that type of self-love?
Radical self-love is a practice that can change your mindset, how you interact with the world, and how you treat yourself.
Learn more & practice with us. Respond to writing prompts, listen or read more about the concept of radical self-love, and make art about it! Most appropriate for adults but all are welcome, including young adults and children (activities can be modified for children).
Drop in anytime on Saturday February 10th between 12-3 PM to participate.
RSVP for a reminder.
Have ideas? Volunteers welcome!
Free & open to the public.
This is part of a series that will continue to unfold as a monthly gathering meant to build and strengthen a community that is invested in radical but not so radical change. Next gathering is on 3/22 for children.
